One day workshop
Come for an inspiring day in my studio which has spectacular views over Romney Marsh and farmlands, the perfect enviroment for a relaxing day learning an array of hand embroidery stitches using woollen yarns from the very basics to more simple but effective ways to embelish these simple stitches for a more elaborate finish.
In the first half of the day you will concentrate on creating a stitch sampler book to learn and remember these stitches, then after lunch you will be shown how to apply them to a bottlecap pincushion.
These classes are suitable for beginners through to those wishing to revisit embroidery or those who want to learn how to use the technique to create their own designs. I am also running a Wool embroidery class if you wish to take your skills to the next level.
If you have already some knowledge or have been on my courses before, I will show you how to use iron transfers to create your own initial on linen.
PROVIDED:
All materials are included but, please bring with you some small sharp scissors, and any embroidery threads you may have.
Linen, threads, needles, felt, iron transfers to try and take home. You will also be given a stitch poster so you will never forget the stitches you have learned in the course of the day. I have a large collections of embroidery books to browse through over lunch.
Once you have booked your place I will send you further details and confirmation plus a map to guide you to the studio. I look forward to greeting you.
